The River Ezousa, which is worth mentioning that it is the sixth longest river of Cyprus, has significantly contributed to the irrigation of the cultivated land of Ayia Varvara.

From a geological perspective, according to the Community Council, the area surrounding the river is of particular interest since the formation of the ground consists of a combination of various rocks including gravel, clay and sand.
